"ግዜ እንከለካ ግዜ ኣይትጸበ" ከም ዝበሃል፡ ነዛ ታሪኽ ህይወተይን ስድራ-ቤተይን እተዘንቱ መጽሓፍ ክጽሕፍ ዝደረኸኒ ቀንዲ ምኽንያት፡ ጽባሕ ንግሆ እቶም ደቅና፡ ደቂ-ደቅና፡ ከምኡ’ውን ኪንዮኡ ዝቕጽል ወለዶ ታሪኽ ወይ ዛንታ ኣቦታቶምን ኣቦሓጎታቶምን ክፈልጡ ምስ ዝደልዩ፡ መወከሲ ጽሑፍ ክረኽቡ ካብ ዝብል ሓሳብ እዩ። ንሕና ኤርትራውያን፥ ብልጹ፡ ወረጃ፡ ውርጹጹ ባህሊ እንውንን ሕብረተሰብ ኢና። ስለ’ዚ፡ ንእሽቶና ዓቢና ኣብ ዝሃለና ሃሊና፡ ከም ሰብን ሕብረተ-ሰብን፡ መንነትናን እንታይነትናን ንኽንገልጽ፡ ህላውነትና ንሓዋሩ ንኽረጋግጽ፡ እቲ ክቡር ባህልና፡ ያታናን ታሪኽናን ብግቡእ ክንፈልጥ፡ ፈሊጥና ክንዕቅብ፡ ዓቂብና ድማ ናብ ዝቕጽል ወለዶታት ንምስግጋሩ ክንቃለስ እላቦ።

First and foremost, I thank the Almighty for giving me the courage and patience to write my life journey under the current title “From Seven to Seventy-Seven”. It narrates my life path that includes my dreams, aspirations, and challenges. The book is divided into sections with details about the hardship, fun, sadness, wisdom-learned, and experiences over 70-years of my lifetime. Throughout the book, my ancestors’ rich Eritrean culture, traditions, oral-story, history, struggle, and strong identity have been narrated in detail from my perspective. Even though the book is a biography about me and my family, most of the events, experiences, life journeys, and stories represent a journey that is common amongst many Eritreans. It has been my life-time dream and heartfelt wish that Eritreans, especially senior citizens with immense life experiences, pass their experiences, wisdom and strong values on to the young generation in order to sustain the continuity of Eritrean languages, culture and history uninterrupted. I have full confidence in the next generation Eritreans and Eritrean Americans in Eritrea and in the diaspora. This book is not only of the old country, but also of the older generation and how we can all remember our roots and still embrace the present and future.
